The landscape surrouning a new home construction unfolds in these images. Dry laid stone retaining walls have been considered and detailed to the specific setting. For the Wave Stonewall, native stone is separated and the coursed in pattern to create movement, that of waves or of the mountains that surround the setting. A place for swimming is the focus of the backyard. The Wave Stonewall frames two sides of the setting. Custom fencing, planting and paving details were included beyond the Gunite pool. The coursed pattern of the Diamond Wall was derived from that on the adjacent garage doors. Additional dry laid retaining walls form the Bedroom Terrace, a Living Room Terrace and access through the landscape and into the house. The scheduled completion date is in June 2010.
